Outstanding! Love the graphics also.

I've run into 1 small problem. Cannot sign in to the LCP pages, though I have no problem signing into the forum pages. Keep getting message that password is incorrect. Shouldn't the same username and password for the forum work on the Home Page? The link to "forgot my possword" didn't work for me either.

Unfortunately, the forum and the site proper use different technologies and so have different accounts. This means you will need to register again. Also, the account on the site proper will be tied to your Geocaching.com account so your user name will be your Geocaching.com user name. You'll see when you register.

I can see how this can be confusing. We'll have to add some wording to the login page about this.

Thanks.

SUPER! Thank You so much for all your hard work and sleepless nights. DGP was my lifeline to fun and challenging caches and Lonelycache will do all that and more. The logo is great and I hope the store is open by Christmas so Santa can fill my stocking with t-shirts and decals.

No promises obviously, but we are looking into that. Step 1 was to get the stats and regions working and launched. As CorfmanClan and I have mentioned before, this isn't an effort to make $$ for us. Some people have been super helpful already and donated gift memberships to accounts that do some heavy lifting for us downloading stats. Any marginal $$ that may come in from item sales would help fund similar site oriented activities.

Personally, I'd love to buy a polo shirt with a good LonelyCache icon. Possibly also a T-Shirt and/or hat to wear while hiking.

I will add my congratulations and back-patting to those already expressed. You guys have done a great job with the site, on your own time and expense, and these initial results far exceed what I was anticipating (and had said such in the DGP forum) 6 months ago. The site is in such a good state right now, in my opinion and so far as I can tell, that I think you guys should take a break from further development for now, and enjoy the fruits of your work and go find some lonely caches! You don't need my permission, of course, but please do.

As much as I would love some location-dependent calculations and searching (i.e. DGP's "Most Wanted List" and "Base Camp" concepts), I realize that there is a non-trivial amount of work to design, build, and implement that functionality. Now that there are sub-regions (counties and DGP regions), with associated caches lists and stats, I can live without those extra features because I can focus my use of the site towards my actual caching range. I know winters aren't as much a hindrance to caching for you in AZ as it is up here (a great time to solve puzzles so you can find them after the melt), but that might be a good time start working on new features. I can wait at least until spring... :D

My sentiments (and shopping cart) exactly! I know profit wasn't a motive for this effort, but if merchandizing gets you enough each to buy a SPOT unit and some gear, more power to you!

I have really enjoyed watching this project come to fruition. The product as it stands now is a testament to the hard work, vision, and skills of is creators. With what little I know about these guys, I have no doubt it will evolve and become an even more refined product in the future. Many, many thanks!!!

I've been waiting for this great news anxiously for months. Finding lonely caches as opposed to park 'n' grabs continues to be my passion. My caching style will now revert back to what I loved about the DGP approach. And now it's evident that the LCP will provide even more features than ever before. My heartfelt thanks go out to the whole team of developers at The Lonely Cache Project !
