Since this forum was created, there has been a rising number of forum accounts created by SPAM bots. This morning there was something like ten new forum members, all created by SPAM bots. One had made 167 posts. So far, I have been deleting all the spam accounts along with any postings.

In an effort to thwart this behavior, I have changed the member registration process from using a 3D captcha mechanism to using a Q&A captcha mechanism. So when someone registers, he/she will need to answer a question correctly. The questions should be easy for any geocacher to answer. If you are unsure of an answer I suggest visiting the Geocaching Glossary of Terms

Unfortunately, there has been another spate of fraudulent accounts and posts made here. I have spent the morning removing these accounts and their associated posts from the system. I have updated the registration questions once again to counter this.

Once again, this forum has been inundated with fraudulent accounts posting tripe. I have temporarily turned off user registration.
