Sad to say, but lookslike I will be leaving the LCP regions for the greener pastures of Tennessee. I am considering putting up some of my caches for adoption, which seems like the responsible thing to do, but part of me want sot keep the LCP associated with these caches. I know I could calim a find on the caches after adopting them out, but another part of me thinks that seems a little cheesy. Anyone have similar feelings? Is there any "best ettiquette" when moving away from LCP regions?
One of the local cachers who I admired, weeds19, was a prolific DGPer, and still holds a high point rank for caches found and placed in NM, UT, AZ and NV. It doesn't appear that he has been adopting out his lonely caches, so I am thinking that maybe I'll just keep them in my name. After all, they are lonely and not too likely to be messed with. But weeds19 has also benefited from having folks look after his caches (at least here in NM), and I can't be certain mine would be cared for as his are. Oh the uncertainties!
And then, if I am no longer in the LCP region, why worry? Well, even if I am not here, I can still stay pretty relevant on the leaderboards, a yardstick to measure against for future LCP hunters. At least, that has been the case with weeds19...
Adopting out... and then logging?
Re: Adopting out... and then logging?
I think if cachers on here know there are yours we can all help in taking care of them. That is unless you just want to adopt them out. That is up to you.
